Haryana set to get four new skill centres
GURGAON: The state government on Friday approved a total budget of Rs 14.91 crore for the establishment of four skill development centres in four NCR districts— Palwal, Faridabad, Sonipat, and Manesar — of the state. Subsequently, the Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) issued a letter confirming the approval, giving a go-ahead to commence work.
“The chief minister had allocated this in the February budget. Under the Haryana Skill Development Mission, HSIIDC and Shri Vishwakarma Skill University(SVSU) will jointly set up four skill centres in the state. These centres will make the youth industry-ready and also facilitate in creating a pool of skilled workforce for the industries,” said a senior HSIIDC official.
Each centre is likely to run a total of six courses. The course modules and total student intake are yet to be decided.
