Shivakumar spoke to the media about the Congress' strategy for the upcoming election, in which the party hopes to regain control of the state.Shivakumar stated that during the last election, the Congress fought under collective leadership, and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah led them. He added that the BJP's quota and reservation agenda is a political strategy and accused the ruling party of trying to divide the people of the state on the basis of caste and religion.Shivakumar also took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that he is fostering corruption in the country.
