PATNA: Railways has decided to run three summer special trains to cope with passengers' rush.
According to ECR chief public relations officer Birendra Kumar, a summer special will run between Ahmedabad and Patna from May 1 to June 26, leaving Ahmedabad every Monday at 9.10am and reaching Patna the next day at 9.05pm. On its return journey, it will leave Patna every Tuesday at 11.45pm and reach Ahmedabad on Thursday at 11.20 am, he said, adding the train will stop at Danapur, Ara, Buxar and Pt Deen Dayal Upadhaya Junction under the ECR jurisdiction.Similarly, the one (03219/03220) between Patliputra Junction and Gomtinagar will run from April 7 to June 30 via Hajipur-Muzaffarpur-Bapudham Motihari-Gorakhpur-Ayodhaya Cantt. It will leave Patliputra every Friday at 7.40pm and reach Gomtinagar the next day at 12.20am. On its return, it will leave Gomtinagar every Saturday at 6.15pm and reach Patliputra the next day at 9.55am, he said.
Another special (03357/03358) between Barauni and Coimbatore will run from April 1 to June 30. It will leave Barauni every Saturday at 11.45pm and reach Coimbatore on Tuesday at 4 am. On its return, it will leave Coimbatore every Wednesday at 12.50 am and reach Barauni on Friday at 6am, Kumar said.
