Needs more transparency in commercial activities for investors to shed "hesitation", says FM Nirmala Sitharaman

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said there is a need to ensure that India becomes more "transparent" in commercial activities for investors to shed "hesitation". She was speaking at a function for inauguration of the renovated premises of the Chennai Bench of NCLAT (National Company Law Appellate Tribunal). Talking about the slow filling of judiciary and technical members, Sitharaman assured that the government took the point "seriously" so that the cycle is maintained in a "well-oiled fashion". "It is only with the encouraging participation of the professionals here that the we are going to be able to have the success of this whole thing. I would want to assure from the government side that every suggestion that comes from the NCLAT and the NCLT are taken seriously," she said.
