Local Congress neta assaulted, chain snatched in Thane's Ulhasnagar

ULHASNAGAR: Unidentified person attacked Manoj Sadhwani, Ulhasnagar city working president of Congress, outside his residence in Ulhasnagar on Friday. The police said Sadhwani was returning home from his hotel at 2 am when the incident happened.
Sadhwani's wife Jaya Sadhwani, a former mayor of Ulhasnagar, said, "When my husband came out of the car, one of the unidentified persons covering his face with a handkerchief tried to attack him and snatched his gold chain. When he resisted the attackers, they fled." Jaya further said, "When my husband chased the attacker, two more persons were seen fleeing which shows someone planned the attack on him."
After the attack, the Sadhwani family approached local Hill Line police station and filed a complaint against unidentified persons. The police have recovered the CCTV footage from the building where Sadhwani family lives.
