Properties in riot areas under VMC survey

Vadodara: To take action if any encroachment or illegal constructions come to light in the localities affected by riots on the occasion of Ram Navami on Thursday, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) on Friday started a survey of properties.
Riots had taken place in the old city during Ram Navami processions on Thursday. The city police quelled the riots and has started nabbing those involved in it. The city police as well as minister of state for home Harsh Sanghavi have promised strict action regarding the riots.
VMC sources said that a survey of properties in the areas affected by riots on Thursday was taken up under instructions from senior officials. The focus will remain on localities from where trouble makers pelted stones or where they lived. tnn
