Factory raided second time in a week

Vijayapura: Following confiscation of wall clocks and t-shirts worth Rs 2.65 crore on March 28, a team of officials headed by Vijayapura DC Mahantesh Danammanavar, SP HD Anand Kumar raided the Balaji Sugar Factory in Yaragal-Madari, Muddebihal taluk for the second time in a week on Thursday evening and concluded it on Friday morning. It can be recalled that officials had raided the same factory on March 27 that concluded on March 28 by seizing material with pictures of former minister SR Patil.
Suspecting that some more material was hidden, officials brought earthmovers and dug the floor. Sources said it is being suspected that more material is being kept on the factory premises. DC Danammanavar told TOI that another flash raid was conducted on Thursday evening and concluded on Friday.
When contacted, SR Patil disconnected the call saying he was busy in a meeting. TNN
