Nagpur: 4 get life for kidnapping minor boy

NAGPUR: District and additional sessions judge Salman Azmi sentenced four persons to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 10,000 holding them guilty for abducting 14-year-old Chaitanya Ashtankar and demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh in January 2016.
While Mukesh Taywade, Ishaque Shaikh, Durvas Kohad and Tayyub Shaikh were sentenced, three of their accomplices were acquitted.
Ashtankar was kidnapped in a car when he was returning home. He was rescued by city police from Khapa forest after 33 hours.
The offence was registered at Sonegaon police station.
