GURGAON: The dispute over jurisdiction of two railway divisions — North-Western railway and Northern Railway — was resolved recently, paving the way for construction of two railway-over-bridges (ROBs) on Jhajjar bypass road in Rewari.
With the construction of these two ROBs, the traffic movement on the stretch will improve, officials said on Wednesday. The ROBs will now be constructed by Northern Railway at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
The entire project, including two flyovers at railway crossings and two ROBs above the railway tracks,— will cost Rs 300 crore. The HSVP in 2019 had given in-principle approval for construction of two flyovers at two railway crossings to ensure smooth flow of traffic. But due to a dispute between the railway divisions, the work could not start.
Jhajjar-Pataudi Road has two crossings at gate number 1-1A on Rohtak rail route and gate number 56 on NH-48 where the ROBs will be built.
