Congress netas slam govt for targeting RaGa to save Adani
Nagpur/Chandrapur: Continuing their fight against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government for disqualifying Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leaders conducted media interactions in Vidarbha region on Friday.
In Nagpur, party’s spokesperson and MP Ranjita Ranjan briefed the media persons while in Chandrapur, chief spokesperson Atul Londhe addressed them.
“He’s being targeted for exposing the friendship between the PM and industrialist Gautam Adani. He was building pressure on the government to carry out the investigation into the Adani case by the joint parliamentary committee (JPC),” Ranjan said.
Accompanied by MP Balu Dhanorkar, MLA Subhash Dhote, city president Ramu Tiwari, former MLA Avinash Warjurkar and others, Londhe said ever since Gandhi demanded JPC probe into Adani’s affairs, the case against him, which was on hold since 2019, was taken afresh.
“The case was taken up in fast-track mode in just 20 days. The court then delivers its judgement on February 23 and pronounces a maximum two-year sentence to him. Within 24 hours, Lok Sabha secretariat disqualified him and on March 27, he was asked to vacate his government residence,” he said.
