Property of Irfan Solanki’s brother, aide to be seized under Gangsters Act

KANPUR: In another action under the ongoing crackdown on the Irfan gang, the commissionerate police is all set to confiscate property worth Rs 75 lakh of SP MLA Irfan Solanki’s brother Rizwan and Rs 2.5 crore property of their aide and history sheeter Ajjan alias Ejaz under the Gangsters Act.
Police have so far seized assets worth Rs 69 crore of the Irfan gang under the Gangsters Act.
Joint police commissioner Anand Prakash Tiwari said that Gangster Act has been invoked on SP MLA of Sisamau Assembly of Kanpur Irfan Solanki, his brother Rizwan, their aides Mohd Sharif, Israel Attewala, Shaukat Pahalwan, Ajjan, Mannu Rehman and Mursleen alias Bholu.
“So far, assets worth about Rs 69 crore of Irfan Solanki and his gang member Shaukat Pehalwan have been seized,” said JCP.
He said now property of Irfan’s brother Rizwan in Jajmau and 31 ‘bighas’ of land belonging to their aide -Ajjan located at Katri Aluapur Saresa village in Unnao will be seized.
“There are two ‘chaks’ of 28 and 3 bighas on which Ajjan and Rizwan were plotting. On getting the information, the land was verified in Sadar tehsil after which the police had sent its report to the Commissioner of police. Now this land will be seized under the Gangster Act,” he said. tnn
