“NCDC has provided financial assistance of Rs 44.57 crore to the cooperatives in the Dairy sector under the Dairy Sahakar scheme”, informed Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah while replying to a query.
“The Five Dairy cooperatives in Gujarat to which financial assistance has been provided in the said Scheme. Under Dairy Sahakar, financial support is extended by NCDC to eligible cooperatives within the overall objectives of “Doubling the Farmers Income” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat”, said Shah.
Dairy Sahakar is a cooperative dairy sector scheme of National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) which is a Statutory Corporation under the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India.
The objective of Dairy Sahakar is to realize the vision “from cooperation to prosperity” by providing financial assistance to encourage dairy cooperatives for achieving higher outcomes in ESG (environment, social, governance) linked activities.
