Lok Ayukta to take up plea against CM today

Thiruvananthapuram: A division bench of Kerala Lok Ayukta will consider a petition seeking speedy disposal of the case filed against chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan over the grant of funds from the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) on Friday.
The petitioner, former Kerala University syndicate member R S Sasikumar, had alleged maladministration and nepotism in granting amounts from the CMDRF and cited three specific instances in his original petition. His new petition stated that the verdict on his original plea was pending for over a year and sought a pronouncement before April 14, when the court closes for vacation.
