So fans can book their IPL tickets by visiting various platforms including PayTM Insider, BookMyShow, RCB website, Delhi Capitals website among others. The cheapest ticket reportedly costs Rs 400 while the most expensive ticket will cost above Rs 2500. In addition, there are season passes also available to be purchased.
Well the average T20 score at the Narendra Modi Stadium comes around 160 for the 1st innings and 137 for the second innings. Six out of 10 T20s played at the venue have been won by the team batting first. The highest total at the venue was recorded by India vs New Zealand – 234/4.

Two-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders have been forced to make captaincy change thanks to an injury to Shreyas Iyer who is at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru undergoing rehab. Thanks to a knee injury, it’s been reported that allrounder Ben Stokes will play as a batter for the first few matches of IPL 2023. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be without designated captain Aiden Markram for their IPL 2023 opener against Rajasthan Royals on April 2. In his stead, Bhuneshwar Kumar will lead the franchise. Markram will remain in South Africa to take part in two ODIs against Netherlands.
So the pre-tournament group photo has a couple of captains missing. Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Aiden Markram is busy on national duty with South Africa and hence he’s not yet reached India. In his absence, Bhuvneshwar Kumar posed alongside the other IPL captains. But it’s interesting that Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma isn’t part of the photo either.

The IPL is reverting to its home and away format for the first time since the onset of covid pandemic. Few new rules are also being introduced from this year onwards including DRS calls for challenging wide/no balls, finalising playing XIs after the toss and introduction of impact player.
A total of 12 venues across India will be playing hosts to the 70 matches through the season. Besides the designated home venues of the 10 franchises, Guwahati and Dharamsala have also be given two matches each.
It will be the season where the traditional powerhouses will be itching to get back to where they belong. Both MI and CSK had a terrible last year. MI finished 10th and CSK a rung above – teams who have won a combined nine titles between them.
The teams were given another chance to shore up their respective squads last year in December through a mini auction. The likes of RCB, DC, PBKS along with LSG will be hoping to get their hands on the trophy for the first time. RCB, DC and PBKS have been part of IPL since its inception in 2008 and are yet to win the tournament. On the other hand, LSG are just a season old but they produced an impressive show making the playoffs on debut.
