Ludhiana: Three persons were killed after a tipper truck rammed a cycle and another heavy vehicle in Samrala on Tuesday evening. The victims were identified as Jagtar Singh of Salana village, Harinder Yadav of Bihar and Satnam Singh of Lalaudi, a cyclist.
Police officials said the tipper truck was on its way from Khanna to Samrala. Near Salaudi village, the driver of tipper truck took a sudden turn while trying to save a cyclist. But the truck hit the cyclist and then crossed over to the other side of the road and collided with a truck coming from the opposite side. olice officials said the tipper driver — Jasbir Singh of Yamuna Nagar in Haryana — also suffered injuries in the accident . Samrala DSP Waryam Singh said Jasbir has been booked for causing death due to negligence. tnn
