Ram Navami: Kashimiri Pandits carry out grand Shobha Yatra in Srinagar

A grand procession on the occasion of Ram Navami was taken out in Srinagar by the Kashmiri Pandits on March 30. People in a large number participated in the Yatra. The procession started at Tankipora and passed various cities before it reached Lal Chowk. Notably, JK LG Manoj Sinha on March 26 had asked people to take a pledge to ensure peace, prosperity and social harmony in the Union Territory. Speaking to ANI, the organiser of the Yatra, Abhimanyu Das said, “We carry out this Shobha Yatra every year on Ram Navami. We get a lot of support from the people. We try to spread the message of Ram Rajya among the people. People were so happy during Ram Rajya. Discrimination did not prevail during his reign. We are spreading the same message of peace and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.”
