Tension in Jaunpur village after dome of Karbala painted saffron, flag removed

Varanasi: Sensation prevailed in Sahijani village under Nevadhia police station of Jaunpur on Wednesday morning when dome of Karbala was painted saffron and a flag installed over it went missing.
SO Nevadhia Vinay Kumar Mishra said: “Village head and locals joined hands with police to foil bid of anti-social elements of fanning tension. The dome of Karbala was repainted green and a new flag was installed there.”
Mishra said the situation was peaceful in the village now, but additional force was deployed as precautionary measure. An FIR against unidentified miscreants was lodged and efforts on to arrest the guilty, he added.
