Amritpal video comes up, appeals for Sarbat Khalsa on Baisakhi

Jalandhar/Chandigarh/Amritsar: Khalistan sympathiser Amritpal Singh, who has been on the run since March 18, in a video released on Wednesday urged the Akal Takht jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh to convene Sarbat Khalsa (a gathering where the entire Sikh community is invited) at Takht Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo on Baisakhi Day.
Even as he requested the jathedar “to take a very tough stand and call the Sarbat Khalsa at Damdama Sahib on Baisakhi,” Amritpal also issued an appeal to the whole community to “reach Sarbat Khalsa in maximum numbers so that the community issues can be discussed there.”
“This Sarbat Khalsa should be of the level of the one held after Wadda Ghallugahara (the big massacre in 18th century) when all Sikhs had turned up at Darbar Sahib. Now also, maximum Sikhs should reach Sarbat Khalsa,” he added.
