VB grills Vaid, summons him again on April 6
Ludhiana: In the ongoing vigilance investigation against former Congress MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid, Vaid was on Wednesday questioned by the vigilance bureau for about four hours. He had reportedly reached the VB office with incomplete information of his properties and had sought some more time, following which he has now been asked to appear before the bureau again on April 6.
Senior superintendent of police (VB Ludhiana range), Ravinder Pal Singh said Vaid was asked to appear on Wednesday with all the details of all his properties and banks, but he could only produce some of the information, after which he was asked to visit the office again on April 6 with complete details and records.
The VB had also sought details of Vaid’s properties from the revenue department, municipal corporation, Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority, and Ludhiana Improvement Trust; and some details are still awaited.
An FIR was lodged against him on March 13 when the bureau had recovered liquor bottles in more than permissible quantity during a raid at his residence. tnn
