Engineer takes a pistol to his workplace in Noida, arrested

NOIDA: A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly carrying a gun to his workplace in Sector 60. He works at a Uflex factory and took the gun to the office to show it off to his colleagues, cops said.
According to the police, the accused, Nitin Kumar hails from Aligarh and had joined the company around three months ago.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, station house officer (SHO) of the Sector 58 police station, said that Kumar was caught by the company guard while he was entering the premises for his shift.
"Around 7.30 pm on Monday, we were informed that an employee of the firm has been held at the gate with a pistol. A team reached the spot and took Kumar into custody. A country made pistol-315 bore, along with a live cartridge, was recovered from his possession," the SHO added.
The accused has been booked under Section 3/25 of the Arms Act while a police team is working to find out from where and who he purchased the gun.
