T-shirts worth Rs 22 lakh seized by Muddebihal cops

HUBBALLI: Muddebihal police personnel seized T-shirts worth Rs 22 lakh stored at a godown in Yaragal village on Monday evening. Police said that T-shirts and wall clocks worth Rs 22 lakh had been stored at Balaji Sugar Factory in Yaragal. “Receipts of Rs 22 lakh were found in the godown but value of stored material is yet to be assessed,” they added.
Rumours are also making rounds in the district that the seized T-shirts have beeen printed with photos of former minister SR Patil, who is said to be contesting from Devara Hipparagi.
Truck with cash found
Meanwhile, Chadachan CPI Sahebagouda Patil has said that cash amounting to Rs 54.49 lakh kept in a truck was seized at Zalaki Cross. “The truck driver and cleaner were transporting the cash without proper documents,” he added.
