IPL 2023: Lucknow Metro rail to run till midnight on match days for spectators’ ease
According to UPMRC, the last metro train will depart from the end terminal stations at 12.30 am on April 1, 7, 15, May 1 and 16.
LUCKNOW: Lucknow Metro will extend its operation till 12.30 am on all five days when Indian Premier League matches will be played at Ekana stadium in the city.
According to UPMRC, the last metro train will depart from the end terminal stations at 12.30 am on April 1, 7, 15, May 1 and 16.
To help commuters reach Ekana stadium and back to metro stations via Shaheed path, low floor feeder bus service will be available at Transport Nagar and Indiranagar.
Further, Lucknow Metro will also launch a selfie contest, and the lucky winners will get the opportunity to win LSG T-shirts that have been specially autographed by the players. A special meet and greet session with the LSG players will also be organised at CCS Airport Metro Station and few people will be shortlisted to meet players.
MD UPMRC Sushil Kumar said, “It is an exciting time for the city and people of Lucknow that our very own IPL Team will play at Ekana stadium in the upcoming IPL season. Both LSG and Lucknow Metro are the city's pride and therefore we are extending our support for the team and for all the cricket enthusiasts who are planning to watch the matches in the stadium.”
Lucknow Super Giants CEO & MD Colonel Vinod Bisht said, “We have made adequate efforts to improve the experience of viewers not just with the game but everything around it. This tie-up with UP Metro is also a step in the same direction which will allow fans to reach the venue with ease.”
