    Marico shares drop 1.45% as Sensex rises

    Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.
    Shares of the Marico Ltd. traded at Rs 472.7 on BSE at 02:14PM (IST) on Wednesday, down 1.45 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 470.0 and a high of Rs 554.05.

    Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap down opening.

    At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 48.79 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 9.68 per share and 19.41 times its book value, as per BSE data.

    A total of 22,391 shares changed hands on the counter till 02:14PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 61030.52 crore and is part of the Personal Care industry.

    The scrip has been an underperformer , down 1.99 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 0.84 per cent gain in Sensex.

    During the day, the stock moved between Rs 480.35 and Rs 470.0.

    Promoter/FII Holding
    Promoters held 59.39 per cent in the company as of 31-Dec-2022. FII and MF ownership in Marico Ltd. stood at 25.07 per cent and 2.88 per cent, respectively.
