Mysuru: Former minister and Krishnaraja MLA SA Ramadas informed that the central government led by Prime Minister
Narendra Modi has implemented 42 schemes aimed at women’s empowerment. There is a need for our activists to reach out to every household with all the scheme details to ensure that they will benefit the needy, he said.
He was speaking after inaugurating the party’s women’s wing convention here on Tuesday. Ramadas observed that women activists can reach out to more people through their networks and popularise the state and central government schemes. He urged the party activists to ensure the victory of party candidates in all the constituencies of the district.
Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 10,000 houses have been given in Krishnaraja constituency. More than half of these houses have been given to women beneficiaries. Under the Matru Vandana scheme also women have benefited immensely, he said.
“The dream of the central and state governments is making women stakeholders of development,” he said.
Chamaraja MLA L Nagendra said that women activists of the party must take the schemes of the governments to the people to ensure that BJP wins the elections.
BJP city unit president Hema Nandish alleged that the Congress and other parties never cared for women.
