Rajkot: The Jamkandorna police have launched a manhunt after a decomposed body of an unidentified man was recovered from Bhadar river two days ago. Forensic postmortem revealed severe injuries on head, neck and back were inflicted with some sharp-edged weapon.
On Sunday, Jamkandorna police sub-inspector V M Dodia got information about a body floating near the bridge on the river. Primary investigation suggested that the man was in his mid-thirties.
42-year-old playing garba dies of heart attackRajkot: In yet another incident of sudden death, a 42-year-old man who went to offer voluntary service to padyatris (pilgrims going on foot) died of cardiac arrest in a village of Jamnagar district. Mahesh Chauhan, a resident of Jamnagar, had gone to offer service to the pilgrims who were going on foot to Matel temple near Wankaner in Morbi district on Monday. They halted at a camp on Latipar-Tankara highway. While playing raas garba, Chauhan suddenly started feeling uneasy. He stopped playing garba and laid down on a bed in the camp. He fell unconscious and was taken to a government hospital in Dhrol town where doctors declared him dead.
