Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(down 6.21%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(down 5.90%), Sakthi Sugars(down 4.91%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(down 4.32%), KCP Sugar & Industries(down 4.22%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 3.92%), Rana Sugars(down 3.89%), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(down 3.64%), Shree Renuka Sugars(down 3.52%) and BAJAJHIND(down 3.32%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 34.0 points down at 16951.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 40.14 points at 57613.72.
IndusInd Bank(up 2.3%), UPL Ltd(up 2.0%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.92%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.91%), HDFC Bank(up 0.81%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.76%), HDFC(up 0.71%), ICICI Bank(up 0.71%), Reliance Industries(up 0.47%) and NTPC(up 0.44%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 7.09%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 5.67%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.96%), Hero MotoCorp(down 2.56%), Tata Motors(down 2.54%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.03%), Bharti Airtel(down 1.75%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.45%), Wipro(down 1.4%) and Bajaj Finserv(down 1.29%) closed in the red.
