30 booked for offering namaz at Farrukhabad railway station

KANPUR: A group of 30 people who offered namaz at Farrukhabad railway station, were booked following a protest by activists of Hindu Mahasabha. They had offered prayers at the railway station’s platform no: 4 at around 8.35 pm on March 25.
Someone clicked a photo and later it went viral on social media. After the photo went viral, Hindu Mahasabha youth state president Vimlesh Mishra, district president Kranti Pathak, Saurabh Mishra created ruckus by gheraoing the GRP police station on Sunday evening along with the workers.
The protesters threatened to organize Sundar Kand and Hanuman Chalisa at the station for not taking action against those who observed namaz at the railway station. Subsequently, the GRP filed a report against 30 unknown people on the complaint of Vimlesh Mishra, state youth president Hindu Mahasabha. “We have initiated an investigation on the basis of the viral photo,” said inspector GRP Samar Bahadur Singh.
