Gold drops by Rs 230, silver declines Rs 380

"Spot gold prices in the Delhi markets traded at Rs 58,750 per 10 grams, down Rs 230 per 10 grams," Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities, said.

Gold prices declined by Rs 230 to Rs 58,750 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday, according to HDFC Securities. In the previous trade, the yellow metal had closed at Rs 58,980 per 10 grams.

Silver also declined by Rs 380 to Rs 69,700 per kg.

"Spot gold prices in the Delhi markets traded at Rs 58,750 per 10 grams, down Rs 230 per 10 grams," Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities, said.

In the overseas market, gold was marginally higher at USD 1,953 per ounce while silver was down at USD 22.93 per ounce.
