Mysuru: Deputy commissioner K V Rajendra on Monday assured to distribute title deeds, ownership rights to beneficiaries of 58 revenue villages of the district by completing necessary surveys within six months.
Speaking after distributing title deeds to selected beneficiaries of revenue villages at the revenue department officials meeting held at the zilla panchayat auditorium in the city, he said that the state government has declared over 110 Gollarahattis, Lambani Tandas, Kurubarahatti as revenue villages after bringing a legislation for the same.
The distribution of title deeds to residents of these revenue villages will not only help the residents of these villages to utilize the government funds besides to receive benefits. By declaring revenue villages, the state government cleared the major legal hurdles for all district administrations to take up the development works in such areas.
In the first phase, the Mysuru district administration has distributed title deeds to over 2,364 residents of 52 revenue villages. The district administration will soon issue title deeds to remaining residents of 58 revenue villages after conducting surveys and other procedures in the next six months, the DC said.
The DC directed all revenue department officials to complete the task in the next sixmonths without giving reasons about election duty, he said.
Additional deputy commissioner Kavitha Rajaram, assistant commissioner Kamalabai, ADLR Ramya, tahasilar Girish were present during the meeting.
