Visitors’ gallery will have 3D adventure sports games in Kanpur

KANPUR: Kanpur Smart City, sports department and Mandaliya Khel Protsahan Samiti have planned to add 3D virtual cricket games and other adventure sports games (Through 3D eye wearable devices) in the next two months to make the visitors’ gallery more attractive.
The new plans are the results of feedback from those who had visited the gallery. The gallery will have a children adventure section and fun zone (outside open area near its entry point. Divisional commissioner Raj Shekhar on Monday made a random inspection of the gallery, took stock of the situation and reviewed its functioning and sought feedback from the staff.
He said that it was decided in the meeting to install 3 to 4 large EEDs in the display section and in the restaurant to showcase to the public/visitors the highlights of the visitors’ gallery, projects of the Smart City, important government schemes including schemes of the sports department.
The commissioner asked the O & M operator and the deputy director, sports to take necessary steps to increase the number of visitors through special attraction and use of social media and other platforms of advertisement for the gallery.
The staff told him that in the last one month (Feb 19- March 19) as many as 2243 persons visited the gallery and among them around 910 were adults, 790 students and 543 children. Apart from it, around 1372 persons had taken the pleasure of batting at the virtual pitch in the last one month.
