While Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey’s alleged suicide has grabbed all the headlines another aspiring singer-actress from Odisha, Ruchismita Guru, was found dead at her uncle’s house in Balangir district under mysterious circumstances on Sunday. It’s the same day Akanksha was also found dead at a Varanasi hotel.
According to reports, Ruchismita Guru’s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside her uncle’s house. The singer, who hailed from Sonepur district, used to live in Talpali area of the Balangir Town along with her family members.


Ruchismita is known for appearing in a number of Odia album songs. She recently visited her uncle’s house at Sudpada for a shot vacation.

After the family members informed local police about the tragic incident the Balangir Town Police reached the spot and seized the body. The body of the actress was sent to hospital for postmortem. Police are still waiting for the autopsy report.

The primary investigation in already underway as Balangir Police is currently questioning the family members since the mysterious death had led to many unanswered questions. The police are still trying to find out the exact reason that prompted Ruchismita to take the drastic step or if there’s a foul play. As per local media reports, her mother has claimed that she had a heated conversation with her daughter over the preparation of aloo paratha. She further revealed that the actress had attempted suicide earlier also.


According to reports, the locals have claimed that there was a family dispute over the singer’s alleged affair with a young man. However, there hasn’t been any confirmation regarding this.
