Man arrested for duping vehicle owners

Vadodara: The detection of crime branch (DCB) has arrested a man for duping the owners and selling off their vehicles in the city.
Ajay Kahar was nabbed from Waghodia Road after the cops received a tip-off about him. Kahar was wanted in multiple cases of cheating and he was on the run for the last five years.
The police said that Kahar used to cheat vehicle owners. “He used to convince people to buy vehicles in their name and promised them to pay the EMIs. He used to do sale agreements with the owners and take possession of the vehicles,” the police said. Kahar then dupe the owners by selling off the vehicles to other persons and siphoning the money.
The police are also investing if other people were involved the crimes with him.
