6 new cases of Covid-19 surface in district

LUDHIANA: Six persons from Ludhiana tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday. The health department said the patients were 54-year-old woman, 73-year-old man from Rajguru Nagar, 52-year-old woman from Phullanwal who is a healthcare worker, 24-year-old woman of Rurka village who was an international traveller, 41-year-old woman from Jargari who is a pre-operative patient, and a 32-year-old woman from Gill road. Besides, a patient from Bathinda too tested positive at a Ludhiana hospital. Health officials said the cumulative Covid count in the district has gone up to 1,13,671, out of which 3,018 patients have died. Currently, one of the beds in the isolation ward of a government facility is occupied. Health officials urged people to wear mask in crowded places to avoid getting infected.
