Pokarna(down 5.65%), Aro Granite Industries(down 5.18%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 2.85%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 2.62%), Oriental Trimex(down 2.46%), MOIL(down 2.13%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 1.84%), Lexus Granito(down 1.28%), KIOCL(down 0.77%) and NMDC Ltd(down 0.56%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 34.0 points down at 16951.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 40.14 points at 57613.72.
IndusInd Bank(up 2.3%), UPL Ltd(up 2.0%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.92%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.91%), HDFC Bank(up 0.81%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.76%), HDFC(up 0.71%), ICICI Bank(up 0.71%), Reliance Industries(up 0.47%) and NTPC(up 0.44%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 7.09%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 5.67%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.96%), Hero MotoCorp(down 2.56%), Tata Motors(down 2.54%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.03%), Bharti Airtel(down 1.75%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.45%), Wipro(down 1.4%) and Bajaj Finserv(down 1.29%) closed in the red.
