Although the physicians have seen a rise in number of patients coming positive for Covid, nobody has required admission till now. “A 72-yearold came close to requiring hospitalisation, but we could treat her at home,” said Bhansali, adding that they do anticipate some requirement for beds if cases continue to rise.

The dispute between the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) over the pending rent dues of the Mahalaxmi Racecourse land sin ce 2013 has ended after the RWITC made a payment of Rs 6. 75 crore and submitted an undertaking demanded by the BMC. Ever since the lease of the racecourse land expired in 2013, the BMC has not been accepting rent from the RWITC which had accumulated to Rs 6. 75 crore for the fear that it may amount to the renewal of the lease.
