Innocent, one of Malayalam cinema's foremost comedic actors who regaled three generations with his eviscerating humour, much-mimicked mannerisms and the famous Thrissur dialect, died at a private hospital in Kochi on Sunday. He was 75. Innocent wore multiple hats in cinema as producer, screenwriter and author and was also a Lok Sabha MP. The body was kept at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Kadavanthra on Monday for the public to pay homage from 8am to 11am and Irinjakkuda Municipal Town Hall from 1pm to 3.30pm and later at his home. The funeral will be held at St Thomas Cathedral, Irinjalakkuda at 5pm.
