Two criminals among 4 held for robbing man of his high-end bike & valuables
PUNE: The Bundgarden police arrested four men, including two criminals on police records, on the charge of assaulting and robbing an employee of an international fitness center of his high-end bike, costly cell phone and iPad around 11.20pm on March 22 at Maldhakka chowk.
Police said victim Dharmesh Mani (27), a resident of Bibvewadi who is a salesperson for the fitness center’s branches at Wagholi and NIBM road, was randomly targeted by the four men when he reached Maldhakka chowk.
“The gang of four, riding on two bikes, hit Mani’s bike from behind, resulting in his fall. They later picked up a quarrel accusing Mani of causing the accident and assaulted him before snatching his phone, i-Pad and bike and driving away,” said sub inspector Ravindra Gawade on Monday.
