Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Pondy Oxides, IZMO, Bharat Wire Ropes, Career Point and Nagreeka Capital, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 40.65 points up at 16985.7 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as HOV Services, Clariant Chem, UFO Moviez, Mittal Life Style and Indiabulls Intgrtd, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 28 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 22 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Grasim Inds., RIL, Cipla, Sun Pharma and SBI were among top gainers during the day, while Adani Ports SEZ, SBI Life, M&M, Tata Motors and Power Grid ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 126.76 points up at 57653.86.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Diversified, Metals - Non Ferrous, Defence and Hospitals & Allied Services sectors, while selling was witnessed in Infrastructure, Petrochemicals, Plastics, Media & Entertainment and Textiles sectors during the day.
