Students die after falling into canal

Mandya: Two students died after they fell into a canal near Bhutanahosur in Mandya taluk on Sunday. Prajwal,18,and Varun,14, are the victims, according to police sources.
Prajwal was attending the II PU exam and Varun was a class VII student.
While going from Bhutanahosur village to Mandya on a bike, Prajwal accidentally collided with an electric pole, and fell into the canal on the side of the road.
Varun was riding pillion and also fell into the canal. They both died on the spot, police said.
Police rushed to the spot, and retrieved the bodies.
A case has been registered by the Mandya Rural police station.
