Ranchi: A city-based private cancer hospital on Sunday launched a healthcare card that would allow the people from the state’s transgender community to get access to cancer care in their facilities.
Syed Ahmad Ansari, the executive director of the HCG Abdur Razzaque Ansari Cancer Hospital, said the move is aimed at creating awareness among
Jharkhand’s transgender community and give them access to cancer care.
Prateek Jain, the business head of Healthcare Global Enterprises Private Limited (East and
Andhra Pradesh), claimed that over 25,000 people from transgender community in Jharkhand will be issued the cards which will offer them subsidised packages in different forms of cancer screening and care. TNN
