Himachal to finish PACS computerization by 2027

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that the computerization of Primary Agriculture Credit Cooperative Societies (PACS) would be fully done by 2027.

He made this announcement while tabling the annual budget for the 2023-24 financial year in the state assembly recently.

Sukhu said, Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies play an important role in the economy. Their records will be computerised for ensuring better financial management of the societies”.

“In the first phase, 870 societies are being computerized. By 2027, all societies will be computerized”, he added.

Besides, to increase income of the milk farmers, Milk Producers Cooperative Societies will be formed as required. Effective marketing of milk and milk products will be ensured through these cooperative societies, said Sukhu.
