Two women murdered over illicit relationships
Nagpur: Illicit relationships met a fatal end with two women being killed by their respective paramours. The two murders come to fore at different places on Saturday.
A 42-year-old married woman was stoned to death by her beau, Deepak Ingle, 40, at a desolate place near Ruhi village in Hingna taluka. Ingle works as a driver with an agency that operates bus service in the city.
On Thursday, Ingle took the victim to a desolate place on the outskirts of the city and smashed her head with a stone. It’s learnt Ingle was unhappy with the woman as she had started growing close to another person.
The woman’s family had lodged a missing complaint on Friday, following which cops rounded up Ingle. He confessed to the crime during interrogation. An offence of murder was registered at Wathoda police station. Later, Ingle took the cops to the place where the murder was committed.
In another incident, a woman, in her 30s, was strangled to death by her kin-turned-live-in partner. The murder happened during a tiff the two had at their house at Ghogli.
It’s learnt the victim got married in 2019 in Amravati. She left her husband and started a live-in relationship with her cousin. Addicted to liquor, the man used to thrash the woman regularly.
After strangulating her, the man tried to rush her to a hospital. But cops were alerted by an autorickshaw driver. Hudkeshwar police have registered the offence as murder and arrested the cousin.
