Salima Tete named emerging player of Asia

Gumla: Simdega-born hockey ace Salima Tete was named as the emerging player of Asia on Friday by the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) a day after the AHF announced her as the Athlete Ambassador of the Asian Continent. On Friday, Hockey Simdega said the awards will inspire young players and promote the game. Hockey Simdega president Manoj Konbegi said, “Salima hails from a humble farming family in Badkichapper village and made her mark on the international stage through talent and sheer hard work.”
