Belagavi: ‘IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run’ has been planned in Belagavi on April 2, along with 65 locations across the country and 20 international locations including United States of America (USA) and United Kingdom (UK).
This is the largest such run for peace and non-violence, being organised on the
eve of the birth anniversary of Bhagawan Mahaveer, with a moto of ‘Live and Let Live’.
The run aims to make a mark on the Guinness Book of World Records. In Belagavi, the run is being organised by the ladies’ wing of Jain International Trade Organization (JITO). Shobha Doddannavar, president of JITO ladies wing, said on Friday that the run will have three categories - 3 kms, 5 kms and 10 kms that will begin from Marathi Vidya Niketan Ground at 5.30 am. TNN
