DUMKA: Cops from Kolkata said they have arrested three men from Jamtara district in
Jharkhand on charges of siphoning off Rs 50,000 from the bank account of a relative of a sitting judge of Calcutta high court on Thursday.
One Anurag Chaturvedi, the relative of the sitting judge Calcutta high court, complained to the Lalbazar police station in 2023 alleging cyber fraud.

Laha said the three arrested men were identified as Shivshankar Mandal, Mithun Mandal and Tapan Mandal. All three are natives of Mattand village under Karmatand police station, he said, informing that another person was also arrested in connection with a separate cybercrime case. “Shivshankar Mandal of Jhilua village under the Karmatand police station was arrested for siphoning off Rs 4.31 lakh from a Calcutta University official named Deblina Seth last year. A case in this regard was lodged with the Thakurganj police station,” Laha added.
The cops claimed to have seized details of the bank accounts of the victims.
