“Nothing political about it…” Himanta Biswa Sarma on Rahul Gandhi’s conviction by Court

Assam Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the conviction of Rahul Gandhi to jail term and his disqualification have no political angle. “He was convicted by the court of law. He used defamatory words against OBC community. There is nothing political about it. Cases were filed in various Indian states. He should have rendered an apology but he acted arrogantly,” said Himanta Biswa Sarma on March 25.
