Margao: With the Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA) missing yet another deadline for completion of the beautification work of Lohia Maidan, the Shadow Council for Margao has written to the Margao municipality (MMC) warning of protests if it is delayed further.
During a recent inspection by Margao MLA Digambar Kamat along with representatives of the freedom fighters’ association and GSUDA officials, it was decided that the ground would be handed back to MMC on March 15 after the remainder of the work is completed.
“It also our apprehension that the handing over of Lohia Maidan is delayed in such a manner that monsoon will set in and no public meetings will be possible,” Savio Coutinho of Shadow Council said. tnn
