Two found dead in lodge

Vijayapura: Two persons were found dead in a lodge here on Friday. Superintendent of police HD Anand Kumar said that two male bodies were found in a room at Rajadhani Lodge. “Prima facie, it looks like one person may have strangulated another person. Later, he may have committed suicide. The strangulated man is Indrakumar from Srikanthapura Tanda, Hagaribommanahalli taluk, Ballari district, as per the Aadhaar card submitted at the hotel reception counter on March 22. The bike used by Indrakumar is registered in the name of a resident of Arakeri Tanda in Vijayapura district. Another body is yet to be identified. Their room was locked from inside for two days. There was no response. As there was foul smell, the staff opened the door and spotted the bodies. They immediately alerted Gandhi Chowk police station. We visited the spot along with DSP Siddeshwar, Inspector Muragundi and other cops. We are collecting evidence from the spot. The dog squad has already visited,” explained SP Anand Kumar. TNN
