
The Pune International Airport authorities have announced the summer schedule — set to take off on Sunday (March 26) — and will see higher traffic movements from the airport, which is a civil enclave.
According to airport officials, the new schedule will see a direct flight to Varanasi, and also the resumption of the Pune-Mumbai-Pune direct flight.
“The Summer Schedule for flights flying out of Pune Airport will start from March 26, and will go on till October 28. Out of the 218 movements approved by IAF from Monday to Friday, the airlines have been allotted 195 movements. On Saturday, 164 movements out of the 218 got approved. On Sunday, out of the 247 movements approved by IAF, 208 have been allocated,” said Pune Airport Director Santosh Dhoke. Both the new flights will start operating in the next few days.
