After Congress’ Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as Member of Lok Sabha (MP) from the date of his conviction in the criminal defamation case, MoS Law and Justice SP Singh Baghel said that the former Congress MP thought he was above the law. “This isn’t anything strange. Whenever a MP is convicted of two or more than two years in jail, they lose their membership. Rahul Gandhi used to think he is above the law of the nation. The speaker only took the action after Surat District Court’s verdict,” said SP Singh Baghel on March 24.
